Laddu – Traditional Indian Candy
units (depending on the size of the balls)
sweetened condensed milk
coconut and pistachios or sesame seeds and almonds:
roasted pistachios or roasted almonds
ground coconut or sesame seeds
+ 50 grams of coconut or sesame seeds for coating
In a pot, put the condensed milk and butter and heat over medium-high flame until the butter melts.
Add in coconut and pistachios or sesame seeds and almonds and stir well.
Lower the flame and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the mixture is separated from the sides of the pot, thickening and bubbling.
Transfer the mixture to a flat container and refrigerate for two hours in the refrigerator.
Roll into walnut-sized balls and coat with any topping you like.
Keep the balls in a closed container for up to a week.
It can be frozen for up to a month.
You can use any type of nuts and additions that you like.
